I love CrossFit, I love waking up at 4:30 in the morning to come in and help others through CrossFit. Helping them get in shape and achieve their goals. There’s no better reward then seeing the look on someones face when they hit a new PR or their first Pull-Up or Muscle up. This is why I get up every morning.

I have an extensive athletic background going all the way back to high school.  I grew up playing baseball and basketball and then started lifting weights. In 2008 I began training and competing in triathlons.  I have completed several sprint and olympic distances and two half ironmans.  

My wife and I joined BTB Fitness in October of 2012 and my coaching began in 2013 while a member of BTB Fitness and have been there ever since!  I am a level 1 certified CrossFit instructor and love coaching each week. It is truly amazing to see the growth that our members have if its with training, dieting, or just to come in for a good, solid workout!  

A few random facts about me:  my favorite food is chicken parmesan. outside of the gym I spend time running around with our two boys ages  6 and 4.

Seasoned athlete familiar to gymnastics, track & field, road and mountain biking, yoga, and ice hockey. After several years I realized that to keep in shape I would have to step up my intensity. Believe diet is easiest way to maintain fitness.

I’ve instructed fitness since 1979, starting with Richard Simmons’-style low-impact aerobics. Have taught boys and girls gymnastics in Minnesota, Texas and Georgia. I am a founding member of BTB (2007), and have enjoyed teaching and CrossFit WoDs over the past 12 years. On my off days I enjoy hot yoga. I primarily coach at BTB’s Ponce box.

Lately I’ve been experimenting with vegan dishes and tequila.

Victor Oszmian

Victor is a level two Crossfit Coach who has always been interested in Athletics. His focus in weightlifting led him to pursue his NASM Personal Training certification. He began his career in Personal Training at a fitness complex in Asheville, NC designing programs for an array of clients looking to lose weight or gain muscle. During his journey to become a fitness trainer, Victor discovered Crossfit, and from that moment he knew it would be his new addiction. After becoming NASM certified, Victor began studying for the Crossfit Level One course. Victor began coaching at a CrossFit Affiliate in back in 2012. In addition to Coaching, Victor competed in several local Crossfit Competitions as well as attending any and most community fitness events. Victor transitioned into a full time coaching position at a Crossfit Affiliate in Pittsburgh, PA were he gained several years of experience Coaching and Competing before moving here to the Atlanta area. Victor is passionate about building a community around fitness. He has been part of the BTB coaching staff since 2018.

I am a born and raised Atlantan. After a real good time in college I found myself puffy, sluggish, and relatively unhealthy. It was then a friend, who was going through Army special forces training, invited me to check out his CrossFit gym. CrossFit was hard, really hard. I had never held a barbell, done a pull up, and hadn’t jumped rope since elementary school. I almost quit and then noticed this muscle in my shoulders that had never been there before. I was hooked… muscle definition was cool and so was hanging out with special forces dudes. 

Fast forward a year and I decided to do something for me and get my L1. Since 2014 I had coached in a couple different gyms before landing at BTB’s Buckhead location. While bringing my dog (Coach HuddyB) and picking music for my classes is definitely one of the perks, I really enjoy leading people and fostering community. I have made many connections and gained so many friends through the various CrossFit communities I have circled within. If you’re new to town or interested in expanding your friends group while getting into shape, I suggest drinking that CrossFit koolaide. 

Aside from coaching CrossFit I also enjoy hot yoga and dirty jokes. It’s all about balance, right?

Athletic Background:

Ben has played/participated in multiple sports throughout his life: wrestling, soccer, cross country, boxing and Muay Thai.  In the last few years, Ben has enjoyed competing in powerlifting meets and running half marathons.

Coaching Background:

Ben has been a strength/performance coach for over 20 years.  Starting his career as a strength and conditioning coach for the University of Miami, he has also held positions at the Olympic Training Center (Lake Placid) and Velocity Sports Performance.  Ben began coaching at BTB in 2009 and coaches exclusively at the Ponce location.

Athletic Background:

my whole life i was involved in the arts – choir and orchestra – so i was never an athlete. then i found crossfit in Feb 2011, went cold turkey Paleo July 2011, and by sept 2011 had the crossfit tattoo and was down 33 lbs. i haven’t looked back since! turns out you do have to incorporate the gym AND your kitchen!

Coaching Background:

I received my CF L1 in 2012 and then my CF L2 in 2014 and renewed in 2019. I have always enjoyed teaching others, and crossfit changed my life, so i had to help others do the same! I have been coaching for the last few years and with BTB since 2018.

Coaching Locations:

I mostly coach at BTB Buckhead, but i also get to help out the Poncey peeps a couple classes a week.

Factoids: (gave you options haha)

  • i am a practicing massage therapist for 15 years now.
  • i am a Latin dancer – mostly salsa and bachata. i am on a traveling dance team. dance is therapy for me.
  • i do tv production work a few times a year since 2013. mostly Live sports events.
  • i absolutely love connecting with people. i believe we are on this tiny planet to love others!
  • i’m obsessed with essential oils. i use them on a daily basis 🙂
  • cheat meal? 1 million percent, anything and everything mexican!

Athletic background

I played basketball starting at 5 years old. I played through high school and won 2 state titles alongside Blake Griffin. So I was used to having practice at least once or twice a day. CrossFit felt like I could be an athlete again and have something to train for.  

Coaching background

I started teaching CrossFit in 2013.  I have been a NASM personal trainer since 2014. And I have experience coaching SpecialFit to non-verbal autistics. I’ll always hold fast to CrossFit simply because it works.  And I love seeing people break through walls they always thought would be there.

  • I’m an actor. I recently was on Broadway with Waitress.

Athletic Background:

I have always been involved in fitness and health, and it’s most definitely my biggest passion in life. I participated in multiple sports growing up such as equestrian, gymnastics, swimming, and track. When I was in my early 20’s I developed a passion for martial arts and currently hold a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My most recent obsession is of course, CrossFit! Exercise is not just about aesthetics, its about bettering yourself inside and out! 

Coaching Background:

I have been with BTB for almost 3 years now, and its amazing how time flies when you’re having fun with fitness! I began coaching 6 months ago, and have enjoyed it so much. Helping people learn, grow, and better themselves is such an awesome experience.

Random Facts:

  • When I’m not in the gym or the office you can find me somewhere (probably outdoors) with my husband and fur kids!
  • I love animals, and have two rescue kitties and two German Shepherds.
  • Pizza is my absolute favorite cheat meal, and one of my kitties may or may not be named after my favorite frozen Pizza brand!

I’ve been involved with watching and playing sports all my life. In High School, I was Cross Country, Track and Field, Swimming, and Lacrosse athlete with a passion for health and fitness. During college, I decided to turn my passion of health and fitness into a part-time job and got certified as a personal trainer at the UGA Rec Center. After trying the open one year and getting bitten by the CrossFit bug, I decided to become certified with a CrossFit L-1 cert and became a coach at the BTB Poncey-Highland Location where I have been a coach and a member for about a year. Recently I have also gotten my CrossFit Gymnastics certification. My favorite superhero is none other than the man of steel, I’m sure plenty of you have seen me rocking a Superman shirt on most workout days. Favorite music to listen to while working out is a mixture of classic rock and heavy rap. My favorite cheat meal is definitely Chinese food and in particular sesame chicken with a big side of fried rice
